Nawazuddin Siddiqui is leaving no stone unturned in the promotion of his upcoming film Haddi. Recently, he candidly acknowledged the importance of selecting scripts carefully due to some of his past "experiments" not yielding the desired results.

During a conversation with IANS, Nawazuddin shared his approach towards the future, expressing that while he can't predict what lies ahead in 2024, he plans to exercise caution when choosing film scripts. He emphasized, "I will choose the scripts wisely now, as some experiments did not go as planned for me. I will try to do only good films now."

In an interview with The Indian Express, Nawazuddin Siddiqui unveiled his desire to explore diverse genres and undertake lead roles in romantic comedies. Reflecting on his past intense characters, he stated that after doing some very intense characters like Raman Raghav, Manto, or Ganesh Gaitonde (in Sacred Games), he felt the need to do a few light films. Bits of those roles have stayed with him and also taken a toll on him.

Addressing his recent commercial challenges, the actor described it as an "interesting struggle," affirming his commitment to avoid being typecast.

Nawazuddin Siddiqui's upcoming venture, "Haddi," a crime drama directed by Anurag Kashyap, showcases the actor's versatility once again. In the film, he portrays the role of a transgender. The cast includes Mohammed Zeeshan Ayyub, Ila Arun, Rajesh Kumar, Saurabh Sachdeva, among others. "Haddi" is slated to hit screens on September 7th.
