Namish Taneja Opens Up About Being Electrocuted On The Set Of Vidya

Actor Namish Taneja who is currently seen in Colors’ show Vidya recently had horrifying a near-to-death experience. The actor was apparently hospitalized after receiving an electric shock while shooting for one of the upcoming sequences where he needed to pretend that he received a shock, but turned out he actually ended up receiving a severe injury. He was rushed to the hospital immediately and cardioversion (a medical procedure to restore natural heart rhythm) was performed on him. 

Opening up about the incident with Bombay Times, Namish shared that he suffered the shock as the technicians had forgotten to turn off the machine and he was admitted to a nearby hospital for around ten hours.

Further sharing about the incident Namish said that he lodged a police complaint at Vasai Police Station. “The hospital staff called the police, and I was left with no option but to register an NC citing negligence by the technicians. However, I have told them that my priority, as of now, is to recover and I don’t want to file any official complaint.”

Namish returned to the shoot from Tuesday and said that he is under observation and is planning to rest for the next couple of days.
