Naagapanchami Special on Zee's Naaginn..

On the eve of Naagpanchami, Shayantani Ghosh aka Amrita of Naaginn performed a special nag dance and a Naagpanchami special puja for the show. Gajendra Chauhan made a special entry on the show as Nagdev to whom our Naaginn seeks special blessings in order to accomplish her mission.

It was heard that Shayantani had to undergo rigorous training for this dance because unlike other dance forms, a nag dance involves a lot of flexibility and gyrating movements. In spite of not keeping well and even with a sprained ankle, the actress did a great job. Speaking about her experience Shayantani says, “I had to shoot the sequence for Naagpanchami and had to perform on the tandav dance. I did not take any special training, but the dance was choreographed by a choreographer who has choeographed for several Bengali films and I know him very well”. On her injury, Shayantani adds, “I twisted my ankle a bit, but I had to finish shooting the sequence hence continued and perfected the dance.”

Giving us an insight on the future track, the talented actress says, “I am getting married to Arjun, played by Sachin Shroff who is a human, so I come to Naglok to take everyone’s blessings. But no one is in favor of my decision. And the future track revolves around my married life and how I lose my powers after marriage.”

We also caught up with Gajendra Chauhan, who spoke about his special appearance saying, “I am playing the role of Nagdev, and am the ruler of the kingdom. Amrita comes to seek my blessings as she wants to get married and performs for the Naagpanchami puja.”

This episode sure seems a treat to watch out for!!!!
