"My role in 'Kuch Rang Ke Pyaar Aise Bhi' is that of an understanding father"- Jagat Ravat

The upcoming show, 'Kuch Rang Pyaar Ke Aise Bhi' is just days away from its launch and has managed to create a good buzz even before its launch. The show is also marked as actor Shaheer Sheikh's comeback to television after his last role in 'Mahabharat'.

The latest we hear is, that veteran actor Jagat Rawat, best remembered for his telly role in 'Nisha Aur Uske Cousins' as Mohan Gangwal is set to play a pivotal role on the show.

The actor will be seen playing the role of Dr Sonakshi's (Erica Fernandes) father. Unlike other quintessential tradition-bound fathers, he will be playing an understanding father who supports her daughter.

We contacted Jagat, who confirmed, "Yes, I am playing Erica's father, who is very supportive of his daughter. He understands his daughter's ambitions and unlike her mother, who is wanting to get her daughter married, he doesn't believe it bounding her daughter with such barriers."

On being asked about being selective about his television assignments, he said, "It isn't intended, as I do films and television simultaneously. I did 'Nisha Aur Uske Cousins' and when this role came to me, it excited me, so I took it up. The cast is amazing to work with and I am especially happy to work with Supriya ji (Supriya Pilgaonkar)."
