Mukti Bandhan to get a new slot; Parichay to take 9.30 pm slot

Colors' Mukti Bandhan produced by Shobhna Desai Productions, the tale of an ordinary man I.M. Virani with a great business sense won a lot of critical acclaim in terms of its content, but never could break the shackles of the average ratings and secure a better rating on the TRP chart. This only meant that the show was always in danger of going off air. And with the new Balaji Telefilms' show Parichay all ready for launch, there had been a buzz about Mukti Bandhan either going off air
or getting moved to a new slot.

The latest on this is that the channel has decided to shift Mukti Bandhan to a new slot rather than ending the unique show.

A little birdie tells us, "Mukti Bandhan in all probability will get moved to the vacant slot of 11PM, and Parichay starring Sameer Soni will be given the prime time slot of 9.30 pm".

We tried contacting Producer Shobhna Desai, but could not reach through to her.

This development is most likely to happen in mid August, when Parichay launches.

Let's hope that this shift in time turns good for Mukti Bandhan..
