"More than being excited I am nervous" - Kanica Maheshwari

The popular dance reality show Nach Baliye which airs on Star Plus, is a much talked show nowadays. Recently one of the couple namely the actress Kanica Maheshwari who is currently seen in the show Diya Aur Baati Hum on Star Plus and her husband Ankur Ghai who will be seen in the show, visited the Navratri Utsav with Falguni Pathak which took place in the suburbs of Mumbai city. They were seen promoting the upcoming season of Nach Baliye.

We got in touch with the talented actress Kanica Maheshwari to share about her feelings being a part of the much awaited and popular dance reality show, the preparation for the show so far, how she celebrates Navratri and much more.

Here it is what she said..

Dressed in a beautiful red dress, Kanica Maheshwari seemed to have  enjoyed the Navratri event well. When we spoke to her about the same she said, "I enjoyed being a part of Navratri night along with the very well-known and popular singer Falguni Pathak. I am staying in Mumbai from past 10 years and I see to it that I come to play dandiya at the Falguni Pathak's event on all the nine days of Navratri. This year attending the event is more special as I have come along with my husband who is attending Garba and Dandiya nights for the very first time."

Further she elaborated saying, "I wish if I would have got time to stay here for some more time as I was enjoying it completely. Also if I wouldn't have had worn heels and instead would have opted for flat sandals I would have played the garba well. Today I just recollect the old days when I used to come to play garba along with my group of friends and have lots of fun."

Kanica says that this year the Garba and Dandiya night was different than the previous years, "This year attending Falguni's garba and dandiya nights is a bit different for me as normally every year I used to come along with my friends as an audience and this year I have come along with my husband as a contestant for the upcoming season of the dance reality show Nach Baliye."

Nervousness has taken over her excitement on being a part of the dance reality show, "I am pretty nervous than being excited about the show Nach Baliye. It is going to be tough to deal with the timings of my ongoing show and the dance reality show. But I am sure I will get through this too. By far the preparation for the show is going great and I hope we entertain the audience with our dancing skills too," says Kanica.

She says that she and her husband are totally non-dancers, "I and my husband are non-dancers. It is going to be like starting from the scratch for us in consideration with the dance forms (smiles). It is going to be a learning lesson for us too. We hope for the best."

Kanica has been following the previous seasons of Nach Baliye too, "Yes, I had followed the previous episode of Nach Baliye entirely as my Bhabho (co-actor Neelu Vaghela in the show Diya Aur Baati Hum) was a part of that show."

Her co-actor in the show Diya Aur Baati Hum a.k.a Neelu Vaghela who was a part of Nach Baliye season 5, gives Kanica many helpful and useful tips as she is a part of the dance reality show this season, "She gives me a lot of tips every day. She also suggests me some useful and helpful precautions which are to be taken care off. Overall she just tries to make me strong."

While, when all the time Mrs. Kanica Maheshwari Ghai took over the interview, her husband Ankur Ghai was very shy to interact with the media but lastly spoke a few words about the Navratri festival and being a part of Nach Baliye in just few lines, "I enjoyed shaking a leg at the Navratri garba night. I am very much nervous for the show Nach Baliye as I am a non-dancer and I have never performed on the stage either."
