Mohit Malik was the first choice for Sony TV's 'Katha Ankahee'

Sources have it that actor Mohit Malik was Sony TV's first choice for their Turkish remake of One Thousand and One Nights. The show, which is called 'Katha Ankahee' is all set to air early next month on the channel.

Due to clash of dates with an upcoming Sony Liv webshow 'Chamak' that Mohit is currently shooting for, the actor was not able to give dates to the channel for Katha Ankhaee, inspite of them being very keen on him being the lead protagonist of the show.

The makers felt that Mohit was a perfect fit for the male character. After his stellar performances in Cybervaar, Kullfi Kumarr Bajewala and Doli Armaano Ki, the makers were convinced that Mohit would fit the part of this role extremely well.

While we would have loved to see Mohit take on the role in this upcoming romantic drama, we can't wait to see his next project on television. We hope that Mohit dons another exciting role on the small screen very soon!
