Moving against the tradition of Saas Bahu sagas comes our way Mohe Rang De, a Deepti Bhatnagar Production on COLORS, the Hindi General Entertainment channel by Viacom 18 Media Pvt. Ltd. launching today, on 21st July.

The period drama which is set in the backdrop of 1942 – during the Quit India Movement revolves around two individuals Rajbir and Kranti who have different ideologies. To know more about the show and what the audience can expect from it, we caught up with the lead actors of the show, Prabhleen Sandhu who plays the role of Kranti and Gavie Chahal, who plays Rajbir.

Prabhleen Sandhu, the budding actress from is excited about the whole affair and quips, “It’s been a long time since the audience has gotten to see a show different from the Saas Bahu Sagas. This one will be good refreshment from the usual trend. I feel that saas bahu stereotypes are common so this show will be a rare and unique kind of show”. With a similar view is the lead actor Gavie Chahal, the dashing model from Punjab who states, “I think we have come up with a different kind of show and we are sure that we are going to get a strong response”.

We went ahead and asked about their roles in the show to which Gavie replied, “I actually play a barrister who has been away from the county, but his roots are in India. When he comes back, he falls in love with Kranti aka Prabhleen”. While Rajbir is a person who has been away from the country, Kranti as her name suggests is basically a krantikari. About her role, Prableen quipped, “Actually I am depicting the woman of British conquered India. She represents strength and has the aggression to fight for her country’s freedom”. When quizzed on the amount of research that has gone into evcerything, Gavie replied, “If you see our dressing right from shoes to hat everything is being well thought”. Adding to Gavie’s point Prableen said, “Actually we are working very hard on the look and also the dialogues, so that we depict the characters aptly”.
