Colors' Mera Balam Thanedar has recently been in the spotlight following reports of the show going off-air. While viewers speculate that low TRPs are the reason behind the decision, sources reveal otherwise.
Reports suggest that Shruti Choudhary, the lead actress, exhibited unprofessional behaviour, causing frustration among the team. Allegations include frequent delays, improper delivery of dialogues, and multiple retakes. Furthermore, it was claimed that her parents were often present on set and interfered in production matters.
Responding to these claims, Shruti's mother spoke exclusively to India Forums. She said, "I don't know who is spreading these rumours, but it's disheartening. Shruti is a minor, and such baseless accusations impact her. She works extremely hard. I've seen her struggles not just as her mother but as a person. She once had thyroid issues and was advised a week's bed rest, but she resumed work after just two days. Even during her recent battle with dengue, she returned to shoot after a short break."
She further emphasized Shruti's dedication: "She has worked on many shows and is very committed. The media should consider that she's both human and a minor. Such news can demotivate her."
For context, this isn't the first time the 16-year-old has faced similar allegations. Previously, it was reported that she caused challenges for the production team. Following her dengue diagnosis, the set location was shifted to SJ Studios to accommodate her. Despite the claims, Shruti's mother insists on her professionalism and determination.
