Meet Vinny Arora, Urmi of Aathvaan Vachan...

Vinny Arora, the 17 year old college girl is quite happy to be playing the lead character in Sony’s new show, Aathvaan Vachan.

“Urmi is not a lunatic; rather she is a challenged girl. Her mental growth has stopped at the age of eight”, states the young girl. So is she similar to Shraddha Nigam's character in Choodiyan.? “No it would be unfair to compare both, as Shraddha’s character there was a retard while Urmi is just a girl with some problems. So you will never see her throwing things around”, quips Vinny.

Did you do any research on the subject? “No but the channel and the production helped me out. I do know few people like this, so I know what is expected of me”, avers she.

Vinny originally from Delhi has spent the last 13 years in Mumbai. “So you can say I am a pakka Mumbaikar by now”, says the girl with a grin. The charming girl has done small roles earlier in Kasturi and Kuch Is Tarah. “But yes, Aathvaan Vachan can be called my first major break for I have now time to devote to acting. Earlier since I was in school, I could not do much as I took acting as a hobby then”, states the girl.

The girl is accompanied by her mom for late night shoots, and has made friends with all in the set. “Srishthi and Mauli Di both take very good care of me. Even others such as Gulfam also friendly”, quips Vinny.

The little girl is due to give her critical board exams this year and Psychology happens to be her favorite subject in school. “Well when the time for studies will come, I will not go out for movies and other fun stuff, but will concentrate on shoots and studies”, quips the determined Vinny.
She gives full credit to her parents for her being here. “They have made sure that I am very much grounded. Even my friends never consider me an actor. I am just plain Vinny for them as well”, states she.

Lastly, if not an actor, Vinny states “I would have either been a journo or would have gone for MBA”.
