Meet The Latest Find of 'Gandi Baat 4' - Taniya Chatterjee

One of Alt Balaji's most successful and talked-about shows, Gandi Baat makes a return with a staggering fourth season on the streaming platform thus becoming the only show on the application to now have a fourth season. While the show has already created ripples in several aspects over the course of its three seasons, if there is one other thing that the show is also known for then that is - finding new talent.

Thus all set to arrive and announce herself is actor Taniya Chatterjee, who plans to mark her arrival with a bang with the show. Hailing from the Bengali entertainment industry, in an exclusive interview with the actor, I asked her about her journey to coming in Mumbai and bagging a role in the web series; and also throwing some light on her character in the show.

Chatterjee said, "I hail from Calcutta and have been working in several Bengali films lately. While working there, I used to get calls about interviews and auditions for several shows ranging from TV series and web shows. The last film I did there was called Bhobishyoter Bhut, directed by Anik Dutta and post that I planned to shift to Mumbai. I have been giving auditions almost every day for the past year and while that can be a taxing process, I love auditioning as it also gives me a chance to explore my craft."

She added, "Finally, I got a call from Gandi Baat and I was initially both nervous and excited about the same. The show is evidently one of the most popular shows and to be having a role in the same was a great opportunity. My character in the show is called Chandni. She is very interesting and glamorous and she has several shades to her. The important part is how this character is actually connected to every other character in the story and is very strong in its own sense."

That certainly sounds very interesting. We cannot wait.
