Actress Manasi Parekh, who has been a part of projects like Gulaal, Sumit Sambhal Lega, Uri-The Surgical Strike among others, is all set to return to the big screen after 2 years with Dear Father. The movie marks Manasi's second Gujarati project and stars Paresh Rawal and Chetan Dhanani as the leads alongside her. The film is a family drama, but also has a major thriller element. The trailer of the film was received well by the audience and is touted to be an eagerly awaited release.

The film is also being talked about for being different from the usual niche that Gujarati films have. Explaining the same concept, Manasi Parekh revealed,

"I think a crime thriller is a very fascinating genre. We all love to watch something that thrills us, that makes us wonder what’s going to happen next, that makes us curious. And in Gujarati cinema, this genre has not really been explored in mainstream films. They usually have Rom-coms and family dramas, but this is a family drama with conflicts and also a thrilling element. It’s absolutely something that I have never done before and that’s what fascinated me to do Dear Father."

Dear Father also marks Paresh Rawal's return to Gujarati cinema after 40 years, and will be hitting the cinema screens on March 4.
