Mamta Kulkarni, Laxmi Naarayan Tripathi expelled by Kinnar Akhara head due to THIS reason

Former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni was expelled from the Kinnar Akhara on Friday, just a few days after her induction and appointment as Mahamandaleshwar. This move came in response to growing objections from members of the religious group. In a surprising twist, Ajay Das, the founder of Kinnar Akhara, also dismissed Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Laxmi Narayan Tripathi from the organization, citing Tripathi's role in bringing Kulkarni into the community as the reason for the dismissal.

The Kinnar Akhara found itself embroiled in significant controversy after the appointment of former Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni as Mahamandaleshwar. This decision reportedly led to objections from numerous members within the akhara.

As per reports, Kinnar Akhara founder Ajay Das found himself in a disagreement with Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Laxmi Narayan Tripathi, indicating that they might remove Tripathi from his position. In retaliation, Laxmi Narayan ignited further controversy by asserting that Das lacked the authority to make such a decision.

In an earlier conversation with News18, Mahamandaleshwar Laxmi Narayan Tripathi emphasized that all decisions within the Kinnar Akhara will be made transparently. Tripathi also mentioned that a press conference would be held on Friday afternoon to discuss the ongoing controversy, where "an important announcement" is expected to be made.

Former actress Mamta Kulkarni rose to prominence in the 1990s with her roles in popular films such as 'Karan Arjun' and 'Baazi.' While attending the Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj to offer her prayers, Acharya Mahamandleshwar Laxmi Narayan Tripathi of Kinnar Akhara declared that she had assumed a spiritual position as the Mahamandleshwar.
