Makarand Deshpande ROPED in for this ALT Balaji series!

ALT Balaji's upcoming courtroom drama The Verdict, is based on the infamous Nanavati murder case. The series is being directed by Shashant Shah and will be a 10 episode series, based on public records, newspaper articles and interviews of people who witnessed the case.

Well earlier, we reported that talented actor Manav Kaul will be seen playing the character of Nanavati. Also Sumeet Vyas and Angad Bedi will be seen playing pivotal roles in the series. Now, we hear that yet another talented actor, has joined the cast and it's none other that Makarand Deshpande.

Yes, the veteran actor will play prosecution lawyer Chandu Trivedi. Speaking to a leading news daily, he said that the incident was the most thrilling one post independence, and that he is excited to be part of the series. He also has a 10 min monologue sequence in the series.

Makarand is also set to entertain audience as Betaal in And TV's upcoming fantasy tale Vikram Betaal Ki Rahasya Gaatha.
