Pakistani actor Mahira Khan recently tied the knot with her longtime beau and businessman, Salim Karim, in a picturesque wedding ceremony on October 1. The celebrations have been a visual treat for fans, with Mahira sharing stunning glimpses of her special day on Instagram. The latest set of pictures she posted showcases her resplendent mehendi ceremony attire, and fans cannot stop gushing over her radiant appearance.

The actor looked ethereal in a peacock blue anarkali adorned with intricate work on the neck and sleeves. Her choice of attire exuded timeless elegance, blending traditional charm with contemporary style.

Mahira's ensemble was beautifully complemented by an emerald green necklace, kundan jewelry, and a translucent orange dupatta, enhancing her overall look. However, what truly added to the charm of her mehendi look was the cultural significance behind it.

In one of the pictures, four of Mahira's friends or brothers can be seen carrying a phoolon ki chaadar (flower sheet) above her, symbolizing a moment of love and care as she wears a wide, joyful grin. Notably, she also held a thick bunch of gajra (white flowers) on her right arm, adding a touch of tradition to her contemporary ensemble.

Taking to the caption, Mahira Khan shared the heartfelt backstory of this lovely gesture. She revealed, "Right before we were heading down.. Asim put a whole string of motias on my arm.. just because.. he is Asim, and I'm his mahiru.. forever InshAllah (blue heart emoji) Mehndi (blue heart emoji) 29.09.23."

Mahira was referring to her close friend and renowned Pakistani filmmaker Asim Raza. Mahira Khan has previously starred in Asim Raza's directorial debut feature, the 2015 coming-of-age musical, 'Ho Mann Jahaan.'

Asim Raza also expressed his adoration for Mahira by sharing her Instagram post on his Stories and affectionately referring to her as "My Mahiru!"

Mahira Khan's fans can look forward to seeing her in Ammar Rasool's upcoming film 'Neelofer,' where she will reunite with her longtime co-star, Fawad Khan. Additionally, the duo will be seen together in the Netflix series 'Jo Bachain Hain Sang Samait Lo.'
