Maa to have a Marathi backdrop...

Tellybuzz was the first to report about the makers of Chokher Bali coming up with the Hindi remake of their popular Bengali show Maa on Star Plus.

We have also mentioned about the cast namely Sayantani Ghosh, Jatin Shah, Neena Kulkarni , Supriya Shah, Avneet Kaur (fame DID li'l champs) who will essay pivotal roles.

The original show which was on Star Jalsa had a Bengali backdrop. But the latest we hear is that the Hindi remake will have a Maharashtrain backdrop. The storyline will be more or less similar to the original show Maa.

"The production is deciding on the surname of the family as they are still confused between Pradhan and Kulkarni. The surname will be finalized after the final pilot shoot. The tentative title for the show is Maa and will be changed only if the channel demands a new name," adds a source.

After UTV's Maykee Se Bandhi Dor, Maa will be the next show on Star Plus with Marathi backdrop.
