'Lootere' trailer takes viewers on a high-stakes journey into the criminal underworld on the waters

Set against the ominous backdrop of Somali pirates and a perilous demand, the show boasts a stellar ensemble cast featuring Rajat Kapoor, Vivek Gomber, Amruta Khanvilkar, and Aamir Ali, among others. Directed by Jai Mehta, produced by Shailesh R Singh, and guided by showrunner Hansal Mehta, "Lootere" takes viewers on a high-stakes journey into the criminal underworld.

The trailer introduces Rajat Kapoor as the ship captain entangled in a criminal legacy, forced to navigate the treacherous waters of safeguarding and smuggling dangerous goods. A compelling exploration of power, greed, and international hijacking crisis, "Lootere" promises a riveting narrative where survival means maneuvering through a deadly web of crimes. 

Showrunner Hansal Mehta emphasized the unique setting of "Lootere" within the vast ocean, presenting an expansive canvas that distinguishes it from traditional airborne hijack stories.

Director Jai Mehta expressed the ambition to redefine the hijacking genre by infusing a unique perspective into "Lootere." Lead actor Rajat Kapoor, who essays the role of the ship captain, described "Lootere" as a journey that brought together opposites.
