If you were wowed by the music in Mahesh Bhatt's magnum opus, Dil Hai Ki Maanta Nahi, starring Pooja Bhatt and Aamir Khan, you will definitely be blown away with the music in Mahesh Bhatt's upcoming venture on TV. Titled Naamkarann, the musical extravaganza reunites veteran singers Anuradha Paudwal and Kumar Sanu for a soulful rendition on the show.

The trio who struck the correct chords back in 1991, are back after 25 years to bring back the same age-old charm with their song in the STAR Plus show. The song sung by the veteran singers is called "Dhoop Ka Ek Tukda" which will be based on actors Sayantani Ghosh and Viraf Phiroz Patel who will be seen playing pivotal roles on the show.

Commenting on the same, singer Anuradha Paudwal said "Yes, Mahesh Ji and I have come together after 15 years for the mega show Naamkarann. The songs are very beautiful. Despite working after so many years, I don't think anything has changed. Naamkarann is like a reunion for us (Kumar Sanu, Anu Malik Ji and Mahesh Ji). The last project we worked on was Dil Hai Ki Manta Nahi. Mahesh Ji has always been very particular about the music in his films and now for this television show, I don't think he has left any stone unturned give the perfect feel to the music of the show. When Mahesh Ji narrated the storyline of the show, I was really hooked on to the subject as it is very sensitive. I wish all the luck to the team"

Naamkarann tells the story of 10-year-old Avni (played by Arsheen Naamdar) who, with her innocence, will be seen questioning the existing societal norms.

Mohabbateinn 10 years ago saseh can play a negative role very well..n wont even hv to try to hard... she shud consider it :) ..but this movie isnt dat bad lol..just becus a movie doesnt have songs like aaushqui 2 doesnt mean its not worthy to watch. its aimed for a certain audience who can take some thrilll n action rather than depressing love movies. i loved pritviraj in it !2013-05-27 10:09:53
