The clamour around Salman Khan's controversial "raped woman" analogy refuses to die down. Now actress Lisa Ray has come forward to take a jibe at how the film industry is reacting to the stir.

Salman made his first public appearance since the controversy at the ongoing 17th edition of the International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) gala in Madrid. He did not extend any apology, but said it is better if he talks less.

Lisa posted a morphed image from the IIFA press conference with Salman addressing the media with stars like Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra, Tiger Shroff, Farhan Akhtar and Sonakshi Sinha standing besides him.

In the image, faces of all the stars except Salman were swapped with that of monkeys with hands on their mouth.

She tweeted: "Bollywood's most progressive stars stood next to Salman Khan quietly."

Salman had courted controversy after he said during a media interaction that he felt like a "raped woman" walking out of a ring in his role as a wrestler in his upcoming film "Sultan". He later said, "I don't think I should have" and explained that he found it hard to walk.

But Bollywood has been wishy-washy in expressing their opinion on the controversy.

Only a few celebrities like Kangana Ranaut and Anurag Kashyap have come forward to express their views without any inhibitions, but a whole lot of them remained mum.

After Salman's comment snowballed into a big controversy, his father and veteran screenwriter Salim Khan contended that Salman meant no wrong when he said he felt like a "raped woman", but apologised on his behalf.

About Priyanka's violent comment, no one paid attention to that because Priyanka according to us isnt a big star so no one cares what she says and she doesnt even have a lot of fans. Salman has a huge fan following and apparently they consider him a big star so thats why they are demanding an apology.

Priyanka Chopra recently said if a man cheats on her she will beat the shit out of him. I wonder if she used it as an analogy, but sounds like she is an extremely violent woman. Or may be she is a thug? Wonder what would be audiences reaction if a man said "If a woman ever cheat on me, I will beat the shit out of her" The fact is media has been trying to tarnish his image every time he has a new movie releasing. Yes Lisa! Good for you for standing up for women. I wish you did the same thing when women talk about bull shit in regard to men. And I also wish you stood up for Kangna Ranaut when Hrithik, Adhyayan, Aditya and other men called her a bitch, and psychopath. When you call yourself a feminist do it for both the genders. Do not just choose your topics and gender based on your convenience.

Good for you Lisa! Thank you for standing up for the empowerment of women. The film-under-world don, Salman will never say sorry because he does not respect women. He intimidates others in the film industry because he, the don, can wipe out their career in the blink of an eye.

Strange to see those actors who screamed blue murder at a mere comment about actresses being called plumb took no offence to the rape comment. If you notice it is the industry mavericks and the international artists who have dared to call out against salman's comment. The next time when bollywood cries wolf, others should also turn a blind eye and mute themselves. Just because he has clout in the industry everyone is shying away. Shame...
