Learned about my exit only after reading the script: Ridhiema Tiwari on exit from &TV’s Santoshi Maa

India Forums is back with yet another exclusive update from the world of television.

Due to the shooting restriction for various television shows because of pandemic, the shoots of various shows shifted their shooting location and carried out the shooting. &TV’s Santoshi Maa: Sunaye Vrat Katha shifted base to Silvassa, However, one of the important actors Sushil Sinha preferred to not shoot amid the pandemic because of safety reasons. This resulted in actress Ridhiema Tiwari aka Laila also not shooting in Silvasa as Laila’s character revolved around Sushil Sinha’s (Singhasan Singh) character. However, Ridhiema was hopeful that her story-line in the show will be revived.

Now, the shoot of the show has been shifted back to Mumbai, Naigaon and Ridhiema was also called on the sets. However, the actress learned that her character will soon end.

In a candid chat with India Forums, Ridheema said, “I returned on the sets and only after reading the script, I realized that Laila’s journey in the show will come to an end. It’s quite sudden and the exit is going to be abrupt”.

Ridhiema further added, “Laila’s character has been very close to my heart. I got to give five dance performances in a span of four months. I really loved the look of the character and the spice and sass that it added in the show. An artist literally lives the character that he/she plays and the character takes away a part of the artist when it ends. The characters should get at least proper deserving closure.  While I bid an adieu to the show with a heavy heart, I would like to express my gratitude to Rashmi Sharma Productions. I enjoyed being Laila. I’m quite an optimistic person and I’m sure something great is waiting for me in my future and now I’ll focus on another beautiful new beginning”.
