Lauren dedicates dance to Mahatma Gandhi

Professional international dancer Lauren Gottlieb has dedicated her new performance on Indian dance reality TV show "Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa Season 6" to Mahatma Gandhi.

Keeping the theme of Independence Day Aug 15 in mind, Lauren will dedicate her performance to the nation's Mahatma. She will dance to the tunes of "Raghupati raghav raja ram".

Lauren, who shot to fame in Bollywood with choreographer-director Remo Dsouza's "Any Body Can Dance" (ABCD), is gradually trying to get a grasp on Indian culture and people.

To prepare herself for the act, the trained dancer also did extensive research work, which included reading books, surfing the Internet and watching short films on Mahatma Gandhi.

She also learnt the song and was seen lip-syncing it flawlessly. She even impressed everyone when she sang it post her performance.
