Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away on February 6, in Mumbai.

Legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar passed away at the age of 92 on February 6, Sunday. The veteran was hospitalised at Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. In early January, she had tested positive for COVID-19. Along with the virus, she also suffered from pneumonia and breathes her last at Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital, where she was admitted for over three weeks.

The veteran's family and the doctor updated about a deterioration in her health just yesterday and everyone was hoping for her well being ever since. As someone who is a veteran in the world of music, everyone is mourning her demise.

Lata Mangeshkar was conferred with the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1990, and also has been awarded a Padma Bhushan in 1969 and a Bharat Ratna in 2001. She has to her credits 100s of songs in over 36 languages during her career spanning close to 80 years.

Over the years, she has worked with the finest in the industry, including Madan Mohan, SD Burman, OP Nayyar, among others. Some of her most popular songs include Humko Humise Chura Lo, Aisa Desh Hai Mera, Ankhein Khuli, Ho Gaya Hai Tujhko To Pyaar Sajna, and many others.
