Kushal Tandon NOT SELECTED for Kumkum Bhagya 2.0, actor did not meet 'physical aspects': REPORTS

Zee TV's Kumkum Bhagya has been under the scanner for quite some time now. Kundali Bhagya, the spin off of the show was already axed a few months ago, post which, reports of Abrar-Rachi starrer being axed next started doing rounds. However, Abrar had shut down these rumours and had stated that the show is not going anywhere.

India Forums had exclusively reported about the Abrar and Rachi, the current leads of the show being replaced from the show and the show heading for a complete revamp. We had also reported about Kushal Tandon being roped in as the new male lead now. Well, contrary to these reports, there is now a new twist to the tale. As per a recent report by Times Now, Kushal, who was approached for the show has not been finalised for the same as he did not meet the requirements for the said character. A source of the portal says, ''Discussions did take place, but he was ultimately not selected as he didn’t meet the requirements for the role, including physical aspect. As a result, he is not finalised. Buzz is only due to assumptions.''

For the uninformed, the show is all set to head for a generation leap. Earlier speaking to us, while Rachi Sharma had commented on not being aware of her exit from the show or the show taking a leap, Abrar had confirmed the possibility of the show heading for a leap but had stated that he will not quit the show.

Kumkum Bhagya started with Sriti Jha and Shabbir Ahluwalia as the titular faces. Post which, Mugdha Chapekar and Krishna Kaul were roped in as the new leads post a generation leap. Another generation leap replaced them and brought in Abrar Qazi and Rachi Sharma as the new faces of the show.
