World Bicycle Day, celebrated annually on June 3rd, is a global initiative that promotes the importance of cycling as a sustainable and healthy mode of transportation. This day serves as a reminder of the many benefits of riding a bicycle, not only for personal well-being but also for the environment and society as a whole.

It encourages individuals of all ages and backgrounds to embrace cycling as a means to reduce carbon emissions, improve physical fitness, foster community connections, and alleviate traffic congestion. It is a celebration of the humble bicycle's power to transform lives and make the world a better place.

Krishna Kaul, who essays the role of Ranbir in Zee TV’s Kumkum Bhagya mentioned, “There's something truly magical about the simplicity and purity of riding a bicycle. It takes us back to our childhood days, the days when a bicycle was our gateway to exploring the world and feeling the wind in our hair. I personally believe bicycles not only promote a healthy lifestyle, but also contribute to reducing pollution and congestion in our cities. They offer a sustainable mode of transportation that is accessible to people of all age groups.  One day, I myself decided to cycle from my house to the sets and come back and I believe it was the hardest thing I have done so far, but the feeling of accomplishment was so real. So, let's encourage more people to hop on to their bicycles and embrace the benefits it brings. I wish everyone a Happy World Bicycle Day! Let's pedal towards a healthier, greener, and eco-friendly future.”
