Kriti Sanon rises above negativity circling 'Adipurush': Focusing on the cheers and claps

Amidst the buzz and anticipation, the Prabhas, Kriti Sanon, and Saif Ali Khan starrer Adipurush made its highly-anticipated debut in theaters on June 16. Directed by Om Raut, the film had generated significant excitement as one of the most-awaited releases of 2023. However, Adipurush has faced its fair share of negative attention, with criticism aimed at its dialogues and visual effects. Despite the backlash, Kriti Sanon has chosen to focus on the positive feedback and praise she has received for her performance.

As the audience voiced their disappointment with Prabhas and Saif Ali Khan's portrayals, Kriti's portrayal of Janaki garnered praise and admiration. In response to the mixed reactions, Kriti decided to sidestep the criticism and instead highlight the positive reactions from the audience. She took to social media on Monday night and shared videos of enthusiastic viewers cheering and chanting slogans like "Jai Shri Ram" while watching the film in theaters. Accompanying the videos, Kriti expressed her focus on the applause and wrote, "Focusing on the cheers and claps! Jai Siya Ram."

Her post was met with support and encouragement from her fans. Manish Malhotra, a renowned designer, showered the post with red heart emojis. 

Meanwhile, Kriti's sister Nupur took to her Instagram story to applaud the entire team behind Adipurush. She praised the stellar performances, captivating songs, grandeur, serenity, and direction of the film. Nupur was particularly impressed by various sequences that left a lasting impact. She showered the entire team with compliments, writing, "Love love loved Adipurush! The performances were superb. The songs. The grandeur. The serenity. The direction. There were so many sequences that blew me away. Kudos to the entire team."

While Adipurush witnessed a successful box office run during its opening weekend, it experienced a significant decline on Monday due to negative word-of-mouth reviews. Nevertheless, Kriti Sanon's focus remains on the positive reactions and appreciation she has received for her role in the film.
