Kiku Sharda is back to reprise his role!

Actor-comedian Kiku Sharda has had a topsy-turvy ride facing the Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh controversy and 'Comedy Nights With Kapil' going off-air.

However, with everything better now, the actor certainly has reasons to be happy, as according to a leading news daily, he is set to reprise his role of Emperor Akbar in the show, 'Akbar Birbal'. The show was enjoying a good run when Kiku and actor Vishal Kotiyan (playing Birbal) were the leads, however, last year they were replaced and the show roped in other actors to play the roles.

The move doesn't seemed to have worked in the makers' favour, as the show did not garner the same amount of TRPs and went off-air. Now they want to revert to the original team. Kiku mentioned that the channel probably had different plans at that time, so they replaced him and Vishal. But, now everything has worked out between them and he is looking forward to this new innings.
