Kids of SMILE Foundation make Kajol smile...

The Kids of SMILE Foundation were overwhelmed to meet their favourite star, Kajol and the Zee Rock N Roll Family Team was more than obliged to invite them on the show. SMILE Foundation is an NGO working towards the health and education of destitute and orphaned children in 22 states. They not only provide them with financial aid, but also look after their well being. They are striving towards providing education to these kids in English Medium schools so that they are at par with the other fortunate kids.

When Telly Buzz spoke to Shilpi, Manager, Smile Foundation, about the experience on the set she says, “It was a very good experience. The children enjoyed a lot. Without our knowledge they made a doll for Kajol's little princess Nysa. It was a surprise for her and they asked for her autograph. They interacted with her in English. Tanuja asked them how they can speak English so fluently and replied saying that the foundation helps them in their studies.”

When asked about the motive behind taking the kids on the sets, Shilpi replied, "All the children are fans of Kajol and Rock N Roll Family is a family show in which we can see three generations dancing together. The show is a sensitive family program and has an emotional touch to it.”

Not only Kajol but even Ajay and Tanuja ji were li'l moist eyed seeing the warmth and affection of these kids for whom the stars are semi-gods. And as a gesture of his gratitude and joy, Ajay has planned to hold an exclusive screening of his upcoming movie U, Me Aur Hum for the kids.

A very memorable moment for the kids indeed!!
