A clean-up drive was organised the morning at Juhu beach after the immersion of Ganesh idols last night. Every year we've seen shocking images of parts of the idols scattered in dirt and plastic around the beach so much for people's love and devotion.

While a lot of activists have been aggressively promoting the eco-friendly route and have been bringing home idols made up of biodegradable materials, the plea of a few hundreds have fallen on a million deaf years. Over the last few years, Television and Bollywood celebrities alike have been creating awareness on the pollution caused during festivities. This year around, a clean-up drive on Mumbai's suburban Juhu beach saw actor, Keith Sequeira with beau, Rochelle Rao accompanied by Dia Mirza, Vivek Oberoi and a few others.

The Love Ka Hai Intezaar actor Keith shares, "The entire city was rejoicing yesterday with the visarjans and our beaches are now in a dire condition. When I was approached for this clean-up drive, I didn't think twice before saying yes and infact Rochelle told me that she too would love to join me as it's a cause she really believes in too. I have seen images floating on the internet of the condition of the beaches post the immersion but I have to tell you, when I saw it in front of me today with my own eyes, I was shaken.

I wish we would go eco-friendly and not harm our mother earth which has given us such a beautiful life and planet to live on. We live in a beautiful country. I wish we took pride in our country and treated it well by keeping it clean."
