Katrina Kaif drops clues on 'Zoya' vs Deepika Padukone's 'Rubai' face-off: Who would win in the spy showdown?

In the thrilling realm of the YRF Spy Universe, Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone stand as formidable pillars. Embracing the roles of Zoya in the Tiger franchise and Rubai in Pathaan, respectively, these leading ladies have garnered praise for their electrifying action sequences. Recently, in an exclusive chat with India Today, Katrina Kaif delved into the hypothetical scenario of a face-off between Zoya and Deepika's character, Rubai, in what would undoubtedly be a dream showdown.

Discussing the potential clash, Katrina intriguingly remarked, "Let's put it this way. I don't know all the backstories, but Zoya, to me, seems the most experienced agent. So with experience comes more fighting experience. I leave it to you to decide."

In a twist of fate, when posed with the choice of having either Shah Rukh Khan's titular character in Pathaan or Hrithik Roshan's Kabir from the movie War as her potential sidekick in the Spy Universe.

Katrina responded with enthusiasm saying, "This is a phenomenal film I'm doing, first of all, where Pathaan or Kabir is my sidekick! The wonderful thing about the Spy Universe is that all the characters are so well-written and have a strong identity of their own that you kind of can put any piece anywhere. Every piece fits beautifully. That's in the strength of the characters."

Having recently dazzled the audience in Tiger 3 alongside Salman Khan and Emraan Hashmi, Katrina Kaif is set to shift gears with Sriram Raghavan's suspenseful film Merry Christmas, co-starring Vijay Sethupathi, scheduled for a January 2024 release. Despite facing logistical challenges and production issues, her project with Farhan Akhtar's Jee Le Zaraa alongside Priyanka Chopra and Alia Bhatt remains on hold.

Meanwhile, for Deepika Padukone, as 2024 unfolds, she's geared up to kickstart the year with Siddharth Anand's Fighter, where she shares the screen with Hrithik Roshan. Following this, audiences can anticipate her presence in Nag Ashwin's sci-fi thriller, Kalki 2898 AD. Additionally, she is set to captivate audiences in Rohit Shetty's Singham Again, slated for release in cinemas during the Independence Day weekend.
