Star Plus' Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai will soon see the much-awaited love confession of Naira (Shivangi Joshi). Naira, who was until now rejecting Kartik (Mohsin Khan) because of her sister Gayu's (Kanchi Singh) love, will finally sort out the situation with Gayu and soon be seen proposing Kartik.

With this, we'll see the entry of a few new characters in the show. Kartik's family will be introduced soon, and for the same, actors Parul Chauhan and Mohena Singh have been finalised. However, the role of Kartik's father is yet to be locked. Parul will be seen as Kartik's stepmother and Mohena will be seen playing Kartik's sister in the show, who will further go on to become Naksh's love interest.

Even before Kartik's father has been locked, Kartik's Chachu has been fixed. Kartik and his chachu will be shown to be very close to each other. His chachu will be extremely fond of Kartik and will be supportive of Kartik in every step.

And the actor, who has been finalised to play his Chachu is the Mahabharat actor Ali Hassan. He was seen in the role of Takshak in Mahabharat. With news that Kartik's family is not willing to accept Naira for him, its left to be seen whether Kartik's chachu will be a positive influence on them or not

Loving every bit of this show. Adore kaira. Mohsin khan and Shivangi joshi r doing a mesmerizing job on screen. They keep me glued to tv. Hopefully karticks family would be as sweet as Naira's
