Kartik Saberwal turns Producer...

The actor aspires to launch his production company, and has approached Doordarshan with his scripts..

The actor who got to fame as Bhavishya in Zee's Ghar Ki Lakshmi Betiyaan, Kartik Sabharwal is all set for a new innings now. After Rakeshh Paaul launched his production company, it is the turn of Karthik to turn producer.

"Well these days I have been writing some scripts and have two concepts for which I have approached Doordarshan. Things are in the pipeline and am waiting for it to get approved", says an excited Kartik.

Talking about his shows the actor states, "One is a college based story and the other is a family drama. I can't talk much about it as it is too early".

What made you write scripts? "The day I landed in Mumbai I had a dream of having my own production company. This is the start of it and hope to go move forward. Well it's a difficult process from acting to producing, but it had to happen one day", he quips.

Why did you choose Doordarshan over any other GEC? "I feel this is the safest channel to start with, as it's owned by the Government. I mean you know that your money is safe and especially during this recession time, I think I made a wise decision", he articulates.

"I haven't finalized on the actors and the process is on. Will let you know as soon as possible", he adds.

So does it mean no more acting for you? "I'm all open for it as acting is my priority. If nothing clicks, I would opt for production and concentrate on it", he concludes.

For now Kartik is in Delhi celebrating his mom's birthday. The actor will be coming back in three days to finalize things.

We wish the aspiring producer all the very best!!
