Karan V Grover made a grand entrance into Sony SAB's 'Dhruv Tara - Samay Sadi Se Pare' following the show's leap, stepping into the royal role of Maharaj Suryapratap, the King of Devgarh. Paired opposite Riya Sharma's Tara, Grover's portrayal of the regal king has garnered praise for his impeccable style and demeanour.
Karan reflected on slipping into character, saying, "The attire was the key to embodying Maharaj Suryapratap's persona. The details and look of the pagdi, kalgi, and angrakha contributed significantly to his majestic appearance. Additionally, I grew a fuller beard to add a sense of authenticity to the role, although I had to shave my real mustache to accommodate a thicker Rajasthani-style one."
When asked about his approach to capturing the regal aura of Maharaj Suryapratap, Grover elaborated, "My preparation always begins by understanding the vision of the show's creators. Maharaj Suryapratap is a complex character. He is a warrior and compassionate king, but recent events have pushed him to a darker path. Due to his hurt and loneliness, his inner turmoil appears justified. I find inspiration in the most classic portrayals of regal figures, Prithviraj Kapoor's iconic performance in 'Mughal-e-Azam.' I also value the inputs and feedback from everyone involved in the production process, which shapes my interpretation of the character."
