Karamm Rajpal on drawing inspiration from Anil Kapoor’s ‘Lamhe’ for COLORS’ ‘Qayaamat Se Qayaamat Tak’

COLORS’ ‘Qayaamat Se Qayaamat Tak’ has swept the audiences off their feet with its love story of Rajneesh (Karamm Rajpal) and Poonam (Trupti Mishra).  Garnering popularity among the viewers, the show leaped forward by eighteen years post a tragic accident. Rajneesh who has managed to survive the accident is oblivious that the love of his life Poornima has reincarnated as Poonam. Post the leap, donning a completely different look, Karamm has turned to Bollywood veteran Anil Kapoor's iconic character in the classic film 'Lamhe' for inspiration.  Karamm, who is impressing audiences with his acting, uses Kapoor's charm and ability to express emotions to make his character's story more interesting in the movie.

Speaking about his approach to the role, Karamm Rajpal says, “Anil Kapoor's performance in 'Lamhe' was one of the first films I watched as a kid and although it took me a while to understand the emotional context of the film, I was enamored by the legend’s acting prowess. I strongly feel that his versatility and the iconic film have had a huge impact on my acting journey. I have always admired and was inspired by his ability to evoke raw emotions. By drawing inspiration from his iconic character, I aim to deliver my performance with authenticity, ensuring that audiences are not just entertained, but also moved by the journey of my character. Here’s hoping that viewers will enjoy watching Raj and Poonam’s chemistry as much we have enjoyed crafting it.”

In its current storyline, Poonam aka Trupti Mishra is hired as a nanny by Shaina (Rajneesh’s wife), while Rajneesh arrives at a Shiv temple for pooja on his daughter Kuhu's insistence and he spots Poonam there for the first time. Will Poonam and Rajneesh reunite against all odds, or will the forces of the universe conspire to keep them apart?
