The media recently reported about Kapil Soni joining the cast of Krishnadasi on Colors as Tulsi's long-absconding lover. The talks were almost finalized but Kapil refused to step into the shoes of a lover.

Why?

Well, that is because the actor chose to do a reality anthology series - Crime Patrol (Sony TV)!

Our vigilant scribe quizzed the actor on him choosing Crime Patrol over the fictional show Krishnadasi to which Kapil affirmed, "For me commitment holds a lot of importance. The production house was ready to adjust the dates and I would have liked working with Indira Krishnan but I had committed to join Crime Patrol. I will be seen in a continuity role here and I am currently shooting in Bhopal. I cannot give out any more details about my character for now."

Kapil will be seen as one of the three prime cops who will investigate and nab the culprits in Crime Patrol.
