Kapil Nirmal returns to TV with 'Baal Shiv'

Actor Kapil Nirmal has witnessed quite a journey in the TV industry indeed where he first became a household name with his role in the debut show, Raja Ki Ayegi Baaraat.

Post that, the actor would not be that active on the circuit and when it comes to his last appearance on TV - it was in the show Shakti... Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii. Unfortunately, his track lasted less than 10 days in the show.

Now, he ils all set to return to the small screen and it will be his mythological debut as well where he will be seen in the show, Baal Shiv. 

Interestingly, this will be his first full-fledged character in almost four years.

Talking about it with ETimes TV, Nirmal said, “Tarakasur is the king of Shonitpur and is a powerful man. He has been granted a wish by Lord Brahma that only Lord Shiv’s son can kill him, thereby, making him almost immortal. He is the most selfish person. However, at the same time, his love for his family is his only weakness. He dotes on his mother. It’s a grey and interesting character.” The actor says that he is quite excited about attempting something new on TV.

He shares, “I have missed being on television, but I was looking for an exciting and challenging project to make a comeback. Baal Shiv felt like the perfect choice. Also, this is my first mythological show and I am looking forward to this experience. The genre is different from what I have explored so far. It requires a lot more work from us in terms of getting into the skin of the character, perfecting the body language, walk, diction and dialogue delivery.”

He adds, “The look of my character is fascinating, and is quite powerful. From the headgear to the heavy jewellery and makeup, the experience is quite enriching, and I cannot wait to see myself on the screen after a long time that too in a new avatar.”
