Kanwar Dhillon, who plays the lead role of Sachin Deshmukh in Udne Ki Aasha, is on cloud nine as the show secures the No. 1 spot on Star Plus’s TRP charts. The actor attributes this success to the camaraderie and positivity shared among the cast and crew. “Brilliant and mind-blowing. I think the set of co-actors I have and the team I’m working with are by far the best I’ve ever worked with. The atmosphere and vibe on our set are so positive, and I believe that positivity eventually reflects on screen and in our chemistry,” he shares.

The family drama has resonated with audiences nationwide for its relatable storyline and realistic characters. Kanwar’s portrayal of Sachin, a simple yet resilient middle-class man, has left a lasting impression. “The audience has connected with the simplicity and realism of Sachin’s character. His life—his challenges, joys, and sorrows—resonates with every common man. For me, building that connection with viewers is the most important thing,” he says.

Udne Ki Aasha debuted just a week before the IPL and continued through the World Cup—a period when most shows struggle to grab attention. Yet, it soared. “From the very beginning, we struck a chord with viewers. Our show was the only new entrant to make it into the top five list right after its launch. The immense teamwork and unity among everyone involved have been the defining factors for our success,” Kanwar adds.
