Bangalore, Feb 7 (IANS) Kannada film star Vinod Raj and his mother, veteran actress and producer Leelavathi, Saturday said there had been a murderous attack on them. The police were probing the incident.
Vinod Raj and Leelavathi said they were were travelling in their car along with their manager Nagaraj here when there was a loud noise near the vehicle at 9.40 a.m., shattering the windows of the car.
'This is the third incident (of attack). A few years ago a person entered our farm house in Nelamangala with a fully loaded gun. We apprehended him and handed over to police. Then our car was attacked near our distribution and production office by unknown assailants. We had complained to the police in both cases. But this incident has really shocked us,' Leelavathi told media persons.
Bangalore City Police Commissioner Shankar Bidari said there were no gun shots fired. 'Ballistic experts say the tainted glass which has been broken show no elements of lead.
