Kanika Maheshwari to enter Gulaal!

Kanika Maheshwari, last seen in Star One's Geet Hui Sabse Parayi, will now play a cameo role in Star Plus' Gulaal.

A little birdie tells Tellybuzz, "Kanika Maheshwari was off to Delhi as she had a time gap before she started shooting for Sumeet Mittal's new show Diya Bati, but the channel has called her down from Delhi to play an important role in Gulaal".

Talking about her character in Gulaal, our source reveals, "Kanika would be essaying a character called Surili, who is Raman's love interest. Raman's wife, who is always upset with her husband's behavior towards her, will see Surili's picture in his cupboard and will tear it down as she gets to know about their relation. Eventually Surili will re surface in the life of Raman to provide more twists and turns."

Kanika has signed the contract and is expected to start shooting for the show within 2-3 days.

We contacted Kanika Maheshwari and she confirmed the news and said, "Yes, I will be essaying Surili in the show but I am clueless about my character, so can't divulge anything on it."
