Kanica Maheshwari QUITS 'Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji'

Says the actress who has quit Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji.

Diya Aur Baati Season 2 was renamed Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji and was initially allotted a slot in Star's Dopahar programming. But when the show was shifted to the evening slot of 7 pm, the show's TRPs went up.

And now, the show is all set to undergo a major development as the character of Meenakshi Rathi will soon be making an exit from the show. And actress Kanica Maheshwari herself announced her move on social media yesterday.

We contacted Kanica who told us, "The makers and I have amicably decided to part ways now as we both were feeling that the character was not shaping up as planned. It was a mutual decision."

Kanica's character will be seen to be flying down to Dubai and that's how her character will wind up.

We wish Kanica all the luck for her future ventures.

We surely miss Kanika's humour in the show. But wish her all the best. I love Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji and the chemistry between Avinesh Rekhi and Rhea Sharma is superb.

I love tu sooraj main saanjh piyaji show a lot, awesome story line with good casting especially the leads avinesh n rhea.
Really miss kanica aka meena chachi role n humor a lot..wish to see her soon on TV.

Very sad to see Kanika leaving Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh Piyaji

She will be missed in the show and I wish her success in her new ventures and new beginnings.

On the same note glad that we had such powerful leads Avinnesh Rekhi and Rhea Sharma.
