Kangna Ranaut is ramping up for the release of her upcoming action-thriller Dhaakad. The film will be hitting theatres on 20th May. Yesterday was the censor screening for Dhaakad. As a result, the film has been awarded an A 'certificate.' The film is two hours and ten minutes long, but nothing has been cut from the final version that was presented to the CBFC office on Peddar Road.

According to reports, this Kangana Ranaut-Arjun Rampal movie includes a lot of action, hence the censor board didn't award it a U/A rating. Moreover, the filmmakers did not want to disrupt the film's rhythm.

When contacted by E Times, the producer of the film, Sohail Maklai confirmed the news, and stated,

“I am not disappointed; Yes, we have got an A certificate for Dhaakad. I sort of expected it, because the film has loads of action”.

Dhaakad is an action thriller film produced by Deepak Mukut and Sohel Maklai and directed by Razneesh Ghai, who is making his directorial debut. Kangana Ranaut plays the lead, with Arjun Rampal, Divya Dutta, and Saswata Chatterjee also playing key roles.

Kangana Ranaut portrays Agni, a highly skilled and ruthless field agent tasked with gathering intelligence and eliminating Rudraveer, an international human and arms trafficker who has eluded detection for eleven years.

Announcement regarding Dhaakad was made on 20 October 2020. Kangana shared various looks of her from the film on her Instagram account and penned, “She is fierce, feisty and fearless. #AgentAgni is all geared up to set the big screen on fire."

The film will face a box-office clash with Anees Bazmee's horror-comedy Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani.
