In a surprising turn of events, speculations surrounding the casting choices for Nitesh Tiwari's highly anticipated film, Ramayana, have stirred controversy, with Kangana Ranaut expressing her thoughts on the matter. Recent reports suggest that Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor are being considered for the roles of Goddess Sita and Lord Ram, respectively, while Yash is rumored to be in talks for the character of Raavan. Kangana, who herself is set to portray Sita in an upcoming film titled The Incarnation: Sita, took to her Instagram Stories to share her views on the casting decisions.

She wrote, "Recently I am hearing news about another coming up Bolly Ramayana... Where a skinny white rat (so-called actor) who desperately needs some sun tan and conscience he is infamous for doing nasty underhand PR about almost everyone in the industry... known for womanising and drug addiction after desperately trying to prove himself Lord Shiva in a trilogy (which no one watched or want to make more parts of) has now grown fancy to be Lord Rama..."

She further continued, "Whereas a young southern superstar who is known to be self-made, a devoted family man a traditionalist also according to Valmiki ji description he looks more like Lord Rama in his complexion, demeanour and facial features... is offered to play Ravana...What kind of Kalyuga is this?? No pale-looking druggie soy boy should play Lord Rama .... Jai Shri Ram (folded hands emoji)."

Interestingly, Ranbir Kapoor had previously played the role of Shiva in Brahmastra: Part One - Shiva, directed by Ayan Mukerji. The film serves as the first installment of a trilogy within the Astraverse cinematic universe. According to reports, Alia was initially the top choice for the role of Sita in Ramayana, but due to scheduling conflicts, the project couldn't materialize at that time. However, with the film's delay, the director and producer have now decided to pursue Alia for the coveted role. Meanwhile, Ranbir is said to be undergoing look tests for the film at the DNEG office, hinting at his potential involvement. Fans eagerly await an official announcement, which is expected to be made on Diwali this year.

The casting choices for iconic characters in Ramayana have sparked discussions among audiences, with Kangana Ranaut's critique adding fuel to the fire.

By her logic, no washed up and ran through actress should be playing sita. Does she seriously think she doesn’t have an ugly past? Didn’t she sleep with actors and directors to get roles in movies? Wasn’t she Hrithik’s mistress for a long time?

All this bitterness towards others started after Hrithik Roshan dumped her crazy ass and it’s so obvious that she still hasn’t moved on. Funny thing is that if Hrithik goes to her and tells her to be his woman again, her panties will come off instantly. I think she’s still waiting for him to say “I want you back”. All these hissy fits she’s throwing are basically her way of telling him, “honey please come back or I will continue going on a downward spiral of insanity”.

Not a fan of Ranbir Kapoor or any actor but what she’s saying about him is pure hypocrisy. Aside from that, Indians being racist to their own is always fun to watch. Proves how ridiculously backwards they still are as a nation.

I don't have anything against Ranbir Kapoor, but feel Kangana, as usual, seems to be right. No wonder so many people are making a career of hating her. Frankly my dear, I don't think she gives a damn.

I feel she is right this time, in no way Ranbir looks like Sri Ram.

She burns her own bridges and then cries about being sidelined by bollywood. Isn't she a skinny, fair, north Indian herself? So, who gave her the certificate to play Sita who was from Mithila? It's not like she was rallying behind actors from marginalised communities. Har cheez mein apni gandh failani hai
