Kangana Ranaut calls Salman Khan her “close friend”

Kangana Ranaut, known for her harsh criticism of Bollywood celebrities, surprised fans when she was spotted at Salman Khan's sister Arpita Khan and Aayush Sharma's Eid party. Concerning the party, she has stated that she is "good friends" with Salman Khan and that she attended because he invited her. 

Kangana was asked why she attended the party in an interview with RJ Siddharth Kanan, given that she rarely attends Bollywood events. Kangana responded, "It's not that I don't go to Bollywood parties; I just go where I want." Salman is a close friend of mine; usne party pe bulaya, main chali gayi (he called me for his party, so I went). It's as simple as that."

When Salman congratulated Kangana on her upcoming film, Dhaakad, fans got a glimpse of their friendship. "Wishing team #Dhaakad the very best!" Salman wrote alongside the trailer. @kanganaranaut, @rampal72, and @smaklai." Kangana quickly re-shared Salman's post, writing, "Thank you my Dabangg hero heart of gold... I will never again say that I am alone in this industry... Thank you on behalf of the entire Dhaakad team." 

Kangana has frequently chastised her contemporaries for failing to promote her films. She mentioned in the interview that she used to send messages to actors and producers asking them to root for her films the same way she did for them. However, after receiving no response, Kangana stated that she no longer does so "because she is above that." 

Meanwhile, Kangana Ranaut will appear as Agent Agni in the upcoming spy thriller Dhaakad along side Arjun Rampal.
