Kamya Punjabi highlights the plight of a transgender!

Colors' Shakti... Astitva Ke Ehsaas Kii turned out to be a landmark show in the history of Indian Television for its unique and strong storyline which revolves around a transgender.

Unlike the same-old saas-bahu sagas, this show took a step towards progressive TV drama by making their female lead play the role of a transgender and by showing stories about their community and their treatment in the society.

Even in the 21st century, the society finds it difficult to have a broad-mind and accept transgenders just like any other human being.

And while many actors don't practice what they preach, Kamya Punjabi aka Preeto took to her social media as she pointed out an incidence where Shakti Waghela isn't finding a place to stay just because she is a transgender.
