Just like Radhika, I too was a software engineer and had no girls around: Megha Ray

Megha Ray who essays the character of Radhika in Sony TV's show 'Sapnon Ki Chhalaang' got in an exclusive conversation with India Forums and revealed how much does she connect to her character Radhika and also shared her excitement on all the love she has been recieving for the show. 

Megha Ray who has been essaying the character of Radhika in Sony TV's show 'Sapnon Ki Chhalaang' has been winning hearts with her stint in the show. The simple yet real story line of Sapnon Ki Chhalaang has managed to keep the audience hooked to their television screens as every girl, at some point of their lives must have experienced things that Megha's character Radhika in the show does. 

Talking to us about all the love the show has been receiving from the audience, Megha said, ''As an artist, it feels really good to receive so much love. Everyone loves being loved, so I am enjoying all the love. I was waiting to do something meaningful for quite some time. I always wanted to be a part of something where people connect with your work of art. With our show, every episode has a message for the audience. The way women are shamed for certain choices they make, the lives of women in small towns and cities are very different. Our show focuses on small things that we usually tend to ignore in our everyday lives. Honestly, I feel proud upon seeing the response  I have been receiving. I see people striking conversations on the topics showed in the show and this means the show has been reaching people's hearts. I feel happy to be a part of a content every one would have wanted to be a part of.''

We asked Megha if she connects with her onscreen character Radhika in her real life and the actress said, ''Well, I connect to Radhika on almost all levels. There have been some incidents that have happened with Radhika and have happened with me too in my life. I too was a software engineer. When I was working as a software engineer, I too had no girls around me. Boys would conduct themselves in a certain way and as a girl I had to be a little more competitive. However, it was in this process that I learnt to stay competent yet not to lose myself. And this is the same thing that happens to Radhika too. In certain situations, I look up to Radhika. she knows when to put her foot down despite her lack of confidence and I think that is very important. You should know when to put your foot down. I myself am struggling to figure this out.''
