'Job of an actor is not easy'- Sudeep Sahir

What has been special about your journey as an actor from the time you debuted?
I started my journey with Kyun Hota Hai Pyarr on Star Plus as Adi, and presently I'm doing Behenein on Star Plus. Also to my luck I have performed in all the shows as the main lead. It has been a very pleasant journey so far. Since then I have learnt so much as an actor and have evolved as a person too. Over the years I have realized that this is the best job in the world and I thank god everyday for it.

What made you to take up Behenein?
Mihir is a great character, he is a matured person. I haven't played such character before so I was pretty keen to take up this show. Further Star plus is a great channel to work with. I did not want to miss the opportunity to work with Hats off team either thus I took it up.

Are you satisfied with the way your character is shaping up? Do you think you are getting enough space in the women dominated show?
Yes absolutely I am enjoying playing Mihir Sanghvi. In fact I would say I am getting all the importance being the only guy amongst four girls though the competition on the set is increasing day by day.  On a serious note I feel both go hands in hand. You need two hands to clap. So you can't do without either you have to accept it that women are essential part of man's life on and off screen.

How is the experience working with Hats Off?
Honestly it is a pleasure to work with Hats off. I have been a big fan of their shows Khichdi, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai and many others. I always wanted to work with J.D. Majethia and Aatish Kapadia. You just know that the product they make will be good. So when they offered me the part I knew I was in good hands .I liked the story too, this is how Behenein happened.

You have a huge star cast in this show, with whom do you share a great rapport?
Yes Behenein has a huge cast. With such a huge cast it is like a party on set. On any event I think there are about 40 members of cast present. There's actually a feast that happens. Everyone gets home cooked food on the set which we share with each other. It is a lot of fun. Ketkiji, Dollyji are the senior most people on set and it is wonderful experience to do scenes with them. You get to learn a lot working with them. I enjoy working with such a fine actors. I think I really gel well with Ajay Chaudhary. He is a nice person and our scenes also come out really good. He is a happy go lucky per and we enjoy shooting together .I gel most with the baby playing my son. Actually all of them are great to work with. I must say that I have a good unit and great colleagues. It makes work easier.

Tell something about your kids birth?
While we were watching the film Once upon a time in Mumbai. I still remember the credits of the film were rolling and wife complained of the pain and we rushed to the hospital. I was scared to be present in the delivery room but somehow convinced myself that I have to be with her. When I saw the baby I smiled and we named him Arwaan which means brave in Persian. When he grows up I intend to tell him the story of his birth and will surely show him the film too.

How is the experience of being a father?
I think being a father is the best feeling in the world one could ever feel. Holding your baby in your arms is just priceless. I don't think anything can beat this feeling I do not have words to express it.  I am enjoying every bit of fatherhood.

You did Nach Baliye along with your wife, how is it working with her? Would you like to do more reality shows with or without her?
It was a superb experience working with Anantika. Working together as a team made us even stronger as a couple. I really respect and appreciate her for taking up the challenge for me especially not being from the industry. It was so comforting being together as a team. It just didn't feel like work it was too much fun. I have beautiful memories working with her and would love to work together again. I am fortunate to be blessed with such an amazing life partner. Yes I am open to do reality shows.

Do you find any change in the industry from the time you started?
It is getting bigger and bigger, which is good in a way. It is become so big that every film star is on television now. Though from weekly to dailies has become hectic for sure. It was fun doing weekly shows, less stressful, you could shoot at ease and work for lesser days. But there are pros and cons of both. Daily shows pay better, more people get opportunity to work in all departments, to top it this is what audience wants their daily dose of entertainment. I wouldn't be surprised if it becomes from 5 days to 7 days.  Who said our job was easy it is not but I just love my job.

How do you maintain yourself?
I don't diet at all and I do not even go to gym. I just run whenever I get time. Honestly my motivation to run is so that I can have my daily dose of chocolates. Big time chocoholic I at least have four pieces of it every day I do not mind burning my calories later but I can't stay away from it.

What kind of shows you want to do in future? What are your future plans?
You know I have never planned anything in my life.  I always feel that you will get what is good for you because of god's grace I have been getting all good things in my life and I hope it continues like that. So let's see what future has in store for me.

The craziest rumor you have heard about yourself?
Recently I heard that my wife Anantika and I are having a live in relationship. We were seeing each other since past 7 years. It was really funny.

Where do you see yourself in five years?
I do not know I want to be in the industry for sure. I do not believe in planning too many things about my future. I see myself even more successful in all spheres of life.

Your best friend and tell something about your friendship?
My wife is and was always my best friend. She is a nice human being.
What is special about this relationship is that I think I am blessed
as it blossomed into love.

Your dream role?
To play Leonardo Dicaprio's part in Catch me if u can

Who is your ideal?
It has to be my father; he is the best human being
