Jiya Shankar talks about upcoming Karan Johar movie, bold scenes, and online hate

Jiya Shankar, the TV actress known for her stint in Bigg Boss Ott 2, gained fame through her roles in shows like "Kaatelal & Sons" and "Pishachini." She also appeared alongside Riteish Deshmukh in a Marathi film called "Ved." Ever since the actress is out of the Bigg Boss house, she is getting loved and appreciated for all the good reasons. 

Recently, in an interview with Pinkvilla, Jiya discussed her rise in popularity, especially after her participation in Bigg Boss OTT 2. She mentioned that being labelled as a TV actor can be challenging and talked about her upcoming projects, including a movie with Karan Johar. Regarding her future endeavours, Jiya mentioned that she has completed her stint on Bigg Boss OTT 2 and is currently working on a movie with Karan Johar. She strongly believes that opportunities will come her way if they are meant to be, underscoring the importance of enjoying the work she does.

When it comes to intimate scenes in web series, Jiya disclosed that there are certain types of scenes, like bold ones, that she is not comfortable doing. Regarding her collaboration with Karan Johar on a movie, Jiya stated that Karan sir is occupied with other commitments, and she will share more details about the project when the time is appropriate.

As for dealing with online hate, particularly in connection to her friendship with Abhishek Malhan, Jiya explained that she has faced unwarranted criticism, often unrelated to her but linked to her friendship with Abhishek. People have questioned her association with him, but Jiya made it clear that she doesn't pursue anyone for love; she is an independent individual capable of handling her life on her terms.
