Jayashree Venketaramanan & Akhlaque Khan To Get Married Later This Year

The love story of Jayashree Venketaramanan and Akhlaque Khan has certainly been one to witness, where, as you would remember, the duo first played cousins in Na Bole Tum Na Maine Kuch Kaha Season 2. Ever since then and a year ago, Venketaramanan and Khan starred in a project together and had intimate scenes to portray.

They did spark off dating rumors which weren't addressed entirely until a while ago. And now, life has certainly come a full circle for them as the couple is all set to tie the knot later this year after having gone through a court marriage just yesterday. In an interview with Bombay Times, Khan said, "We became friends almost instantly, but it was much later that we realised we had feelings for each other. It happened organically.”

Venketaramanan added, "Though it took me time to understand my feelings for Akhlaque, he was clear that he couldn’t see me with anyone else. We were best friends for five years, before we fell in love.” On the feeling of being married, Venketaramanan said, "It feels awesome. I was excited throughout, even while I was taking the oath. Maine toh full nautanki ki. I took the oath like a boss, but Akki (Akhlaque) was nervous and he even fumbled. Thank God he didn’t take the wrong name (laughs!).”

Khan said, "Honestly, I was nervous for no reason. The feeling is yet to sink in.” Venketaramanan concluded, "My family has known Akhlaque since years and have always adored him. In fact, in 2016 just before my grandmother’s death, I had taken him to meet her. Later, she told me to get married to him.”
