Bollywood actress Jacqueline Fernandez has found herself at the center of attention amid the Rs 200 crore money laundering case involving conman Sukesh Chandrasekhar. Summoned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) multiple times, Jacqueline's alleged connection with the conman has been widely discussed. In a recent twist, the ED has presented its stance before the High Court, asserting that the actress was knowingly involved in the possession and use of the proceeds of Sukesh's criminal activities. This revelation comes in response to Jacqueline's plea to quash the FIR in the case.

According to reports from News 18, the ED filed an affidavit addressing Jacqueline Fernandez's plea. The hearing presided over by Justice Manoj Kumar Ohri, saw Jacqueline's counsel requesting time to file a rejoinder to her plea seeking the quashing of the FIR. The High Court has scheduled the next hearing for April 15.

The ED's response alleges that Jacqueline Fernandez concealed the truth regarding financial transactions with Sukesh Chandrasekhar and only acknowledged the facts when confronted with evidence.

The agency claims that even after Sukesh's arrest, Jacqueline attempted to tamper with evidence by erasing data from her mobile phone.

In a recent development, Jacqueline Fernandez filed another plea in a Delhi court seeking protection from Sukesh Chandrasekhar, who allegedly sent her messages and a voice note during court proceedings. Describing the messages as "unsolicited, completely unwarranted, and highly inappropriate," Jacqueline expressed concern for her safety in her plea.

The actress accused Sukesh of purposefully sending letters to electronic and print media to establish a connection with her. Despite Jacqueline's complaints, the Delhi Police has reportedly not taken any action against Sukesh.

The Economic Offences Wing (EOW), responding to Jacqueline's complaint, highlighted Sukesh's pattern of sending letters to media platforms, causing harassment and threats to the actress.
