It's OFFICIAL: Vaani Kapoor to ROMANCE Ranbir Kapoor in 'SHAMSHERA'

Vaani Kapoor is all set to be back on screen after her last stint with Ranveer Singh in Befikre. However, the film did not do well at the box office but, the actress made the headlines for her different looks and moves in the film.

Well, as she is on a three-film contract with YRF, she will be seen back on screen for the third time in YRF's recently announced film, Shamshera. The film was recently announced with a poster starring Ranbir Kapoor in a wild warrior look that will be directed by Karan Malhotra.it is said to be a mega action adventure film. Vaani will be seen playing the character of the most desirable and sought-after travelling performer from heartland India.

The makers reveal that the team wanted someone fresh from to play the female part and so they looked out for Vaani for the role.

Karan said in a statement, "Vaani plays Ranbir's love interest in the film and is a very important collaborator in his character's journey. Her character graph is interlinked to the plot of the filmmaking her a crucial catalyst in our hero's rebellious mission.

He also added, Vaani is a perfect fit for the role as he feels she is a fine actor, a fabulous dancer and a gorgeous heroine.

Ranbir Kapoor is also said to be seen in a never seen before avatar. Well,  not just interestingly, Sanjay Dutt will also be seen opposite Ranbir in the film. He will be playing the merciless nemesis of Ranbir in the project.

The film is set to go on floors end of this year and shooting will wrap by mid-2019.
