Its like reliving our courtship period: Aliraza and Anuradha on playing reel life couple in Saathiya 2

Star Plus show ‘Saath Nibhana Saathiya 2’ is getting a lot of love from the fans. The show has kept the viewers on the edge of their seats. The current track of the show revolves around Radhika and Kanak giving a tough time to the Desai family. Gehna and Anant are trying their best to stay united for their family.

The show has an exciting ensemble cast. Not a lot of people know that real life couple Aliraza Namdar and Anuradha Kanabar (Alia Namdar) play the reel life couple in the show. The couple play the head of the family. The duo is a happy couple. The Namdar family also has another actress named Arsheen Namdar (Naamkaran fame) who happens to be Ali-Anuradha’s beautiful daughter.

India Forums got in touch with Aliraza and Anuradha to know about shooting together. Anuradha said, “Well, I used to get offers earlier but I denied them as they used to shoot in Naigaon and it’s quite far away from our residence. I missed acting while Ali continued to work. When I got a call from Rashmi Sharma productions and they told me about pairing me opposite Ali, I got very excited and grabbed the opportunity. Although the shoot is in Naigaon, it’s great to have your husband’s company throughout”.

Aliraza said, “It’s beautiful to work with your better half as she can be your best critic and supporter as well. At times, there are tough days at work and having your wife by your side makes the challenges easier. Alia gives me unfiltered feedback on my performance which certainly are helpful. Alia and I met during our theatre days but we couldn’t work together much post that but this opportunity has taken away all the blues of not connecting professionally”.

Anuradha added, “When Ali used to work, there were hardly a few days in a month wherein we had our lunches together but now since we shoot together, I have all my meals with him. We discuss and talk so much while travelling. The best part is, you have someone dear to take care of yourself on the sets. Whenever I have heavy and intense scenes, Ali is always by my side, telling me to not get too much into it and snap out of it. We do have disagreements but all of it is a lot of fun”.

She further added, “Normally, at home, we are in our comfortable clothes and doesn’t dress up much, but on a television set, you’re always decked up. Ali never fails to compliment me when I don a beautiful saree with elaborated jewelry. He never got the chance to compliment this often and I’m basking into all the attention from my husband. It feels like we’re reliving our courtship period”.
